The Kardashian-Jenners are well known for their over-the-top parties — completely decked out shindigs with no expense spared. There is always a theme, with decorations, activities, and of course, food. Fans have long wondered what happens with everything after one of their events, especially the leftover food.
Some of the Kardashian-Jenner parties have been beyond impressive
There is no shortage of jaw-dropping parties from the Kardashian-Jenner family, including Kylie Jenner’s party for her daughter Stormi’s first birthday. Even though Stormi won’t remember the event, it didn’t stop Jenner from pulling out all the stops with rides, fairies, and a live performance of “Baby Shark.”
Then there was Kim Kardashian West’s party for son Saint, which was a Jurassic Park themed party, complete with a giant dinosaur head, bounce house, masks, and dinosaur themed treats. Activities included a dig site and jewelry making.
Another memorable event was the Candy Land themed party that Kim and Kourtney planned for their daughters North West and Penelope, but they couldn’t see eye to eye on the treats. Kim thought that, given the theme, candy definitely had to be on the menu, but Kourtney was hoping for some healthier options.
Kim noted in a KUWTK confessional: “Kourtney has this vision of no sugar or no disgusting chemicals in candy. It’s like a completely sugar-free, gluten-free, party-free, fun-free zone because Kourtney has decided that. It just doesn’t make sense and it really wasn’t the theme of what North and Penelope wanted for their birthday.”
What do they do with the leftovers?
One fan asked what many have wondered, noting on Twitter: “Serious question… what do y’all do with all the props, decor, and leftover food after birthday parties!!? I just watched khloe’s from last weekend, North/P’s the week before and Saint’s last night. It’s SO MUCH, I’m so curious!”
Khloe was happy to answer that question, explaining that the food doesn’t go to waste and some of the decor is saved: “The decor is normally rented but anything personal (like the quote signs) I have in storage for another function one day. The food leftovers always get donated to a food bank or church. Sometimes the food may go elsewhere Depending on the situation.”
The family came under fire for having a wasteful food fight
During one episode of their reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the family got into a playful food fight — something that didn’t go over well with viewers.
Fans called them out for wasting entire bowls of pasta and salad and wastefully tossing food around and making a mess.
One fan wrote in the comments of a KUWTK Instagram post: “My only thought during this whole video was how many humans there are out there without food. ‘KIM THERE ARE PEOPLE DYING’… and starving… #disappointedbutnotsurprised.”
In a Reddit discussion of the episode, people weighed in about the waste of food, with one person asking, “was that really necessary” and another sharing: “This bothered me so much too!!! Such a ridiculous waste of food when people out there are starving. I couldn’t believe they did that.”
