We’ve been watching OutDaughtered since it first began years ago, and it’s hard to believe how far along the Busby family has come. Adam and Danielle Busby first attained fame through the show due to having the only set of all-female quintuplets in the U.S. And since they also have their older daughter, Blayke, that means Adam and Danielle are taking care of six kids under the age of 9.
The last season of the show has ended, but fans are gearing up for a new season this October. And a new trailer released on the OutDaughtered Instagram page gives insight into what we can expect to see. Here’s what’s teased.
It’s hard to believe it was 4 years ago when Danielle had the quintuplets. As she wrote on her It’s a Buzz World blog, pregnancy has never come easy for her despite her and Adam desperately wanting to be parents. In her blog post about her infertility struggles, Danielle explained, “I remember being so excited that this was ‘IT’, we were actually going to start trying to have a family. Adam and I both adore kids and we never ever imagined WE would have issues.” She then went through a variety of medications and procedures before first getting pregnant with Blayke. And it was after another bout with infertility when Adam and Danielle discovered they were expecting quintuplets.
“Adam is about to pass out and I am laughing! All I think about is what I was asking God for in my prayers,” Danielle wrote on the blog when the ultrasound showed they were expecting four babies. Eventually, they discovered it was actually five. And while the doctors recommended they reduce the number of children, Adam and Danielle knew it was God’s calling and wanted to keep them all.
Now, 4 years later, all of the Busby quints are thriving — and they’re developing their own personalities, too. The trailer shows that we’ll be watching the little girls grow up into big kids before our eyes. As Adam says, “It’s like we’re living in a 4-nado.”
We’ll get more insight into Riley’s intelligence
Now that the quints are growing into their own personalities, Riley is proving to be one of the smartest of the bunch. Recently, Adam and Danielle reported on their personal Instagrams that four of the quints were starting pre-K. And because Riley scored so high on her school testing, she’ll be moving right into kindergarten.
Riley may be smart, but she’s also known for acting out — and we see that in the trailer as well. “Riley is way too smart for her own good,” Adam mentions, “especially with her being so strong-willed.” In the teaser, we also see Adam and Danielle making the decision to put Riley in a grade level above the other quintuplets — and it looks like we’ll get to see the kindergarten class as well. “It’s scary to go in a new class,” Riley tells the camera. “I wish my sisters was in my class.”
Adam and Danielle experience marital strife
Adam and Danielle seem like the perfect couple, but the end of last season had fans worried about their relationship. After Adam was offered a job that required relocation to Dallas, Danielle stated she wasn’t interested in moving. Adam didn’t take that job and instead took a different position that would provide more income for the family without the moving commitment, but Danielle was still upset since Adam didn’t consult her first before accepting. The confrontation that ensued had fans worrying about their marriage. And from the looks of the trailer, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows this season, either.
In the teaser, Adam tells Danielle he has to go to Dallas for a few days — and Danielle looks shocked. “Why am I being vilified for trying to provide for my family?” Adam asks Danielle. To that, Danielle says, “Because you don’t want to do what I do and I do everything around the house.” Adam fires back, “Apparently you’re not doing a very good job” — and Danielle looks like she’s going to lose it.
Will Adam and Danielle’s marriage make it through the troubles ahead? We’ll have to wait and see once OutDaughtered premieres on Oct. 1.
