Tyler Cameron was Hannah Brown’s Bachelorette season runner-up, and the contestant much of Bachelor Nation wished she would have picked.
Heck, even current bachelor Peter Weber thinks Brown should have chosen either Cameron or himself over Jed Wyatt.
“Tyler and I, we probably would’ve both said the same answer, that we thought that, you know, she should’ve picked us,” Weber said on Good Morning America back in September. “The relationship I thought Hannah and I had–I thought was very strong. You know, I was very confident in it and I thought there was a future there.”
Hannah Brown’s history with Tyler Cameron
After Brown ended her engagement with Wyatt, she asked Cameron out for a drink on national TV. The two got that drink (well, they stayed in) but, two days later, Cameron began pursuing supermodel Gigi Hadid.
According to Bachelor In Paradise alum Krystal Nielson, Cameron’s actions hurt Brown.
“She felt a little hurt with Tyler,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
“And still hurt with Jed [Wyatt],” added her husband Chris Randone.
According to a source who spoke to E! News, things have been “awkward and tense” between Cameron and Brown since he began dating Hadid (the two have since parted ways).
“It got messy once Tyler hung out with Hannah right after the finale, and then immediately started dating Gigi,” they told the publication.
“Hannah was really upset about it,” the source continued. “Tyler didn’t think it was fair since Hannah didn’t even choose him in the first place.”
Apparently, this alleged uneasiness has been going on for a while.
“They have had tension for months,” the insider adds. “Tyler has moved on with that phase of his life.”
According to a second source, Cameron still supports Brown, but “it’s hard.”
“It’s not that they are not friends or don’t have any kind of relationship. He’s very supportive of her and has actually reached out to her with well wishes. They’re cordial and very respectful of each other, but they are still exes and it’s hard,” they said.
“They have both moved on,” the second insider added. “Hannah is single in LA and having fun living her life.”
It looks like Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron won’t be getting back together
These days, Bachelor Nation seems to have moved past the idea of Brown and Cameron getting back together (especially after he deleted all of his Instagram pictures of her).
In a December 16 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bachelor host Chris Harrison admitted he doesn’t know what Cameron’s been up to lately. But he does know that if the two ever find their way back to each other they’d make an attractive couple.
“I don’t know him well enough to know what his life is like anymore… But if he’s still single and she’s still single [they’d make a] stunningly attractive couple,” he told the publication.
