Prince Andrew Claims The Photos Connecting Him to Jeffrey Epstein Were Doctored
Jeffrey Epstein’s death has officially led to the closing of the criminal case against him. The American financier stood accused of human trafficking among other crimes. While Epstein’s alleged crimes were deplorable, the world tuned into the scandal because of who the billionaire was friends with. One of his most famous pals, Prince Andrew, has spent time emphatically denying any connection to the scandal, and now his proclamations are getting more and more bizarre. The prince, who is eighth in line for the throne, has invoked a “fat finger” defense to discredit pictures that show him with one of Epstein’s victims.
Focus on Prince Andrew intensifies
Epstein’s suicide in a New York jail may have put an end to his criminal case, but it has done very little to take the focus off of the scandal. In fact, with Epstein no longer with us, the spotlight seems to be focusing more intensely on Prince Andrew. The Guardian notes that in the weeks since Epstein’s death, jet logs have surfaced indicating that Epstein and Prince Andrew may have been much closer than he had previously admitted.
A literary agent has also come out of hiding to allege that they witnessed the prince receiving a foot massage with Epstein while complaining about the way the public was focused on his nighttime outings. Finally, everyone is staring at the 2001 photo showing Prince Andrew with a young woman. The woman in question, was 17 when the photo was taken and claimed that she was recruited as a sex slave by Epstein when she was just a child.
The prince’s overarching defense in the entire scandal is that the photos aren’t real. Sources from inside the palace have allegedly been speaking out, letting the world know that they believe the photos are doctored because the prince was born with “chubby” fingers, and the fingers seen in the photo appear too slender.
Sources alleged the fingers in the picture indicate photoshopping
A source who is allegedly close to the duke sat down with The Evening Standard to discuss the nature of the photos linking Epstein and Prince Andrew to an alleged sex slave. The photo shows Prince Andrew with his arm around the alleged victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
The source claims that the fingers in the photo indicate that something has been changed in the photo. The source stated, “Look at his fingers in the photo. The duke has quite chubby fingers, they don’t look right and nor does the height of the duke and the girl.”
The photo in question was allegedly taken in 2001. The prince, clothed in a button-down shirt and black pants, appears to be at a house party. A second woman is also seen in the photo. The source claims Prince Andrew’s legal team is trying to hunt down the original copy of the picture. It is not known if that original photo still exists.
A source also calls into question claims that Prince Andrew was out having cocktail.
The same source alleged that Prince Andrew is not known to drink, at all. While it’s hard to say if the duke chooses to imbibe or not, there is some evidence that he’s been out on the town at night clubs. That, in and of itself, doesn’t mean he’s a drinker, but it does indicate he enjoys the nightlife, regardless of his feelings on drinking.
Prince Andrew, nor the royal family, have commented on the prince’s alleged drinking. He has, however, issued several statements regarding the Epstein scandal.
Each statement has been progressively more emphatic about the prince’s lack of knowledge about and involvement in the scandal. According to Vanity Fair, the third statement released by the prince stated; “I met Mr Epstein in 1999. During the time I knew him, I saw him infrequently and probably no more than only once or twice a year. I have stayed in a number of his residences,” he wrote. “At no stage during the limited time I spent with him did I see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction.”
