Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel‘s marriage has been on ice since Justin Timberlake was spotted getting handsy with co-star Alisha Wainwright during a cast outing.
The video features Timberlake holding hands with Wainwright. The source who shared the video with The Sun explained that Timberlake was playing with her hands and at one point, he put his hand on her leg.
While Justin Timberlake insists that he and Wainwright are just friends and nothing happened beyond that video, he still took to Instagram to apologize.
“I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love,” Timberlake wrote on the post. “A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better.”
He then addresses his son.
“This is not the example I want to set for my son,” Timberlake added. “I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be.”
Despite his apology, fans are still suspicious and believe that the apology is even an admittance of guilt.
“Nah.. i saw the video, it’s clear you cheated. I feel so sorry for Jessica,” one user wrote in the comments section.
“This is cheating,” one fan wrote. “And the excuse: I drank too much. My partner or myself could have wayyyy to much to drink and wouldn’t behave this way — You know how wrong it is,” one viewer wrote accusingly.
“‘Nothing happened’ how disrespectful to your wife and your family. You were caught, own it. Was it worth it? You could lose your relationship with your wife and child. They deserve better. I hope they can heal from this,” another user added angrily.
Other fans used this opportunity to stick up for Britney Spears.
“Revenge for Britney!!” the fan said.
“britney warned us about you,” another wrote.
“lmao you’re just ‘drunk’. alexa play ‘womanizer’ by britney spears,” someone said.
Others threw his own songs at him.
“Cry me a river. You are a husband to a brilliant, beautiful woman and a father to a beautiful son, for crying out loud! They deserve your best ALWAYS,” someone said.
“what goes around, comes all the way back around,” someone else said.
