One day after Diddy rang in his 50th birthday with a star-studded event attended by some of the biggest names in entertainment, he’s taking a beat to remember his late partner, Kim Porter.
Sunday would have been Porter’s 49th birthday, but unfortunately, the mother of Diddy’s children passed away in 2018 due to complications from Lobar pneumonia. The Bad Boys Record exec shared a black and white video of himself and Kim through the years, and showed her singing and dancing during the happiest moments of her life.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY @ladykp
Words can’t explain how much we miss you but today is your birthday. We’re celebrating you today! We love and we miss you!!!!!” Diddy captioned the video tribute on IG.
Other fans wished Kim a, “Happy Birthday,” and mourned for her not to be here with her family during the holidays.
“Wow….. this is so beautiful, may this beautiful soul continue to RIP … she lives in many hearts ♥️ forever,” one person commented.
“Dang I can’t even watch. Long live Queen KP,” another wrote.
Diddy and Kim Porter had an on-again, off-again relationship from 1994 – 2007. He raised and adopted Quincy, Porter’s son from a previous marriage to producer Al B. Sure!
Porter and Diddy later had children of their own, including a son, Christian, and twin daughters, D’Lila Star and Jessie James. Even after Diddy and Kim split, they continued to co-parent and were very involved in their children’s lives.
Diddy also has a 25-year-old son, Justin, and 13-year-old daughter Chance, from two other relationships.
